Our psychologists at High Hopes Psychological Services perform a variety of assessments, including psychological and developmental assessments. These assessments are typically performed to determine if individuals meet clinical criteria for diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression.
A psychological evaluation is a comprehensive process that includes:
The process begins with a conversation with one of our psychologists. They will ask about your personal history, current concerns, and any difficulties you may be experiencing.
You may be asked to fill out various forms. These forms are designed to assess different aspects of daily living, developmental, emotional, behavioral, or personality functioning.
Depending on your needs, the assessment may include specific psychological tests to measure attention, memory, problem-solving skills, or feelings.
After the evaluation, you will have a follow-up meeting to discuss the results. Our psychologists will provide feedback on their findings and may recommend treatment, therapy, or other forms of support.
