At High Hopes Psychological Services, our psychologists conduct a range of psychological assessments, including developmental assessments and ADHD evaluations. These evaluations are essential for determining if individuals meet the clinical criteria for diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression.
A psychological evaluation is a comprehensive process that includes:
Initial Consultation
The process begins with a conversation with one of our psychologists. They will ask about your personal history, current concerns, and any difficulties you may be experiencing, including issues related to ADHD evaluations or autism spectrum disorder.
Questionnaires
You may be asked to fill out various forms. These forms are designed to assess different aspects of daily living, as well as developmental assessments focusing on emotional, behavioral, or personality functioning.
Standardized Tests
Depending on your needs, the assessment may include specific psychological tests to measure attention, memory, problem-solving skills, or feelings, particularly if ADHD evaluations are needed.
Discussion of Results
After the evaluation, you will have a follow-up meeting to discuss the results. Our psychologists will provide feedback on their findings and may recommend treatment, therapy, or other forms of support based on the outcomes of the psychological assessments.
